Improved Rapport and Comaraderie

When an American makes the effort and takes the time to learn Spanish and uses it to communicate with a Spanish speaking co-worker or client, it shows genuine interest and respect for their language and culture which makes a really positive impression.  English has become the lingua franca of the world and it's easy to rely on non-native English speakers to make the effort to speak our language.  But when we make the effort to speak their language, it makes quite the statement and opens the door wider to more meaningful connection and rapport being cultivated.

Improved Cultural Perspective

One of the biggest benefits of learning Spanish is not as much to do with the linguistic aspect but rather the accompanying cultural context that is gained.  Language and culture are marital partners and when you learn Spanish, in particular from a native Spanish speaking teacher, you start to assimilate the cultural context that Spanish is an expression of.  This enables you to more easily relate to your Spanish speaking workforce, co-workers, and clients in a more meaningful way to allows for greater ease of connection.

Opening New Dimensions in the Work Experience

When working in an environment where there is a significant population of Spanish speakers, if you don't speak Spanish, it can feel like you are excluded from experiencing an entirely separate reality that co-exists at your workplace.  Once you start learning Spanish, this alternate reality starts to become accessible to you and that is a deeper since of belonging and fuller integration with your work experience that emerges that is quite stimulating and engaging.  This contributes to making the work experience feel much more dynamic and fun as those indecipherable conversations happening all around you start to sound intelligible.

Traveling Without Leaving Work

Taking Spanish classes from an engaging native Spanish speaking teacher creates a sense of traveling to another country without having to leave your office.  A great class is a way to escape the monotony of the work day and stimulate your mind.

Client testimonials

I had a great experience taking Spanish classes with Premiere English. The courses did an excellent job of reinforcing my existing knowledge of Spanish and introducing new concepts. The biggest help to me was the emphasis on conversational Spanish. I feel I have really improved in that area. Another big plus was the flexibility with scheduling, allowing me to work around my demanding schedule. I would like to thank my teacher, Natalia, for all her help and I highly recommend the program.

James Dempsey

Corporate Spanish Student

My Spanish classes with the instructor helped prepare me for an assignment abroad in a Spanish speaking country. I was able to review and utilize the Spanish I have learned in the past, as well as gain new concepts, vocabulary, and tools for communicating in a variety of situations. This knowledge, backed by practical activities (games, reading articles, general speaking practice, etc), created a great learning environment that was both fun and useful for ensuring my future success in a multi-cultural world. In short, THE CLASS WAS DA’ BOMB!

Bryson Dixon

Corporate Spanish Student

It is very difficult to learn as much as I needed to in such little time. That being said I think Maria did an excellent job preparing me for what I would face in Mexico. I learned so much in so little time that I was surprised when we reviewed all the things she taught me. She is an excellent teacher and I’m glad she taught me for the little time I had classes.

WHY WORK WITH US

22+ Years of Experience

We've been delivering corporate language classes successfully for 22+ years in a wide variety of situations and environments. We’ve worked with businesses of all sizes ranging from small family run production facilities all the way up to large Fortune 100 companies.

Exceptional Teachers

Our core informing belief at Premiere English is that great teachers create great learning experiences.  We work with native speaking Spanish teachers who are not merely trained to teach but have a unique talent for it.  Great teachers have an aptitude for teaching that is not really an acquired skill so much as it is something they are born with.

Culturally Relevant Approach

Our experience has shown us over the years that working with native Spanish speaking teachers who possess not only substantial experience teaching Spanish but an incredible amount of pride and passion for their culture is one of the best ways to deliver this type of experience.  Great Spanish classes should not be focused on language to the exclusion of culture.  The cultural context (which includes food, music, dress, etiquette, ways of thinking, approach to social engagement, etc) is what provides the spices that bring the recipe for a learning experience to life.  Language outside of its cultural context is reduced to a boring collection of lifeless words and grammar rules.  While certainly necessary of course, basing a language learning experience exclusively on grammar and vocabulary is like serving food without salt and seasoning which makes for quite the bland meal.
